ODEM is making educational records more accessible by granting blockchain certificates to participants in Excelorators’academic programs conducted on the campuses of Harvard University and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

Forty-two students who recently completed a three-week English as a Second Language course that was presented on Harvard’s campus will receive ODEM certificates. The same goes for thirty-nine graduates of Excelorators Executive Leadership program taught in West Point lecture halls.

ODEM has a close relationship with Excelorators, a leader in the organization and delivery of training for international students and executives on the campuses of top U.S. universities.

Last month, ODEM generated its first certificate on the Ethereum blockchain to Antanas Guoga, a member of the European Parliament, at the #SWITCH! Conference in Vilnius, Lithuania.

Our use of blockchain technology to create and securely store the documents means the certificates become permanent records of the participants’ academic achievement. The certificates, easily shareable, are in addition to hard copy records issued by Excelorators.

Issuance of the blockchain-derived certificates is an important milestone as ODEM prepares to launch the ODEM Platform, our global education marketplace, in February 2019.

Stay tuned for more technical updates.
